Ongeo (“we,” “our,” or “us”) provides a mobile application that helps users discover events and activities happening near them. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using Ongeo, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

We collect precise location data only while you are using the app in order to:

• Improve search relevance
• Adjust the map view based on your current location

You can disable location access at any time in your device settings. We do not store your location on our servers.

B. Automatically Collected Data

We may collect basic, anonymous technical information such as:

• IP address
• Device type
• App version
• Basic usage logs (e.g., API request counts)

This data is used solely for operating the service, debugging issues, and preventing abuse or server overload. We do not use this data to track you across apps or websites.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the limited data we collect to provide core app functionality, display nearby events, secure and maintain the service, and improve performance and reliability. We do not sell or rent your information to anyone.

3. Third-Party Content

Ongeo will often display links to event websites or venues. These third parties have their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for their content or practices.

4. Data Retention

We retain only minimal, anonymous server logs for operational and security purposes. We do not store personal data or historical location data.

5. Analytics & Device Identifiers

We collect a randomly generated device identifier (a UUID) that is stored on your device. This identifier does not contain any personal information and cannot be used to identify you. We use it only to measure basic app usage, such as how often the app is opened and which features are used.

We also collect simple, anonymous analytics events (for example: when you open the app, run a search, or view an event). These events help us understand overall usage patterns so we can improve the app.

No personal data, no location data, no contact information, and no user-created content is ever sent to our servers.

6. Local Data Storage

Favorites, notifications, and preferences are stored locally on your device and never leave your phone.

7. No Accounts or Personal Information

Ongeo does not currently require an account and does not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any personally identifiable information.

8. Children’s Privacy

Ongeo is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Your Choices

You may disable location access, delete the app, or block network access via system settings. No data deletion request is required because we do not store personal data.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the “Last Updated” date at the top.
